They began working on material in Tennant's flat and later in a Camden Town studio. After briefly using the name West End, they settled on Pet Shop Boys, taken from friends who worked in a pet shop. The duo achieved four UK number-one singles: 'West End Girls', 'It's a Sin', a synth-pop version of 'Always on My Mind', and 'Heart'. Pet Shop Boys have collaborated with high-profile musicians including Dusty Springfield on 'What Have I Done to Deserve This?'. In the 2010s, they embraced EDM with producer Stuart Price.
